[Sagot para sa’yo] give me caption of this Dear Dr. Rizal,Los más cálidos saludos desde las Filipinas con las que alguna vez soñaste. (Warmest greetings from the Philippines you once dreamed of.)I write to you not as a student or a writer, but simply as a Filipino, someone who carries the weight of our history and the quiet hope for a better future. As I sit here on our terrace, writing this letter and hearing the familiar buzz of the neighborhood, I wonder what you would think if you were here today. A lot has changed since your time. We are no longer under foreign rule,we now live in a free and independent country. But the truth is, freedom didn’t solve everything.Poverty still persists. Lies often travel faster than the truth. Corruption wears new, subtler faces. And our environment suffers in silence.Technology is everywhere now. With just a phone, we can talk to someone across the world, learn almost anything, and speak out about injustice. It has made life easier in many ways. But it has also made it easier to divide people, distract minds, and drown out voices that need to be heard.Sometimes, I wonder. Is this the future you hoped for?The struggles may look different now,or maybe they haven’t changed that much, but they’re still heavy. Families work endlessly just to survive. Many of our loved ones leave the country to find work abroad, missing birthdays, milestones, and everyday joys just to provide. In some rural places, people still long for opportunities that should have been basic by now.Just recently, we held our midterm elections. As always, it was a mix of hope and heartbreak. Many Filipinos lined up patiently, eager to vote for leaders they believe in,leaders they hope will serve with integrity and compassion. But there were also voices drowned out, doubts cast over the fairness of it all, and winners whose values leave many of us questioning where our democracy is headed.Still, there’s something different this time—something that offers hope.More and more young peple are starting to open their eys. They’re no longer just watching quietly from the sidelines. They’re asking questions, fact-checking claims, comparing platforms, and using technology not just to scroll, but to seek the truth. Social media has become more than a place for trends—it has become a battleground for awareness, a space where truth is defended and shared. They create content, start conversations, and call out injustice. They are learning how to use their voices, and more imporantly, their votes. And in the middle of it all, there is hope.I see it in the youth who choose to serve, who speak with courage, who organize, create, and lead. I see it in classrooms where your writings are still read, not just for grades, but for guidance. You’re still here, Rizal, your love for our country still echoes in many of us.We are not perfect. Far from it. Sometimes we forget, we grow tired, and we lose our way. But many of us hold on to your words: “Ang kabataan ang pag-asa ng bayan.” We repeat them to ourselves, especially when the world feels heavy.Wherever your spirit is now, I hope you can still see the fire in your people. Quiet, but steady. We are still trying, Dr. Rizal, one day at a time, in big ways and small.
