ENGLISH 5 MY MINI DICTIONARY Create your own mini dictionary with 15 words to help you learn meanings, spelling, and usage of new vocabulary. Materials: bond paper / colored Paper glue markers / pen other art materials for design dictionary What You Need to Do: 1. Choose 10 Words Select words that you find interesting, useful, or sometimes difficult. 2. Write Each Word Clearly For every word, include the following parts: Word – Write the word in big, bold letters. Part of Speech – Is it a noun, verb, adjective, or adverb? Pronunciation – Show how it is said (you may copy from a dictionary). Definition – Write the meaning. Illustration – Draw a small picture to show the meaning. 3. Organize Your Mini Dictionary Arrange the words in alphabetical order (A to Z). Each word should be on its own page or section. 4. Decorate your mini dictionary with borders, drawings, or colors. Make it neat and easy to read.
