I learned that Petrarch is considered the “Father of Humanism” because he focused on human experience, emotions, and the value of classical learning. He showed how literature can express personal feelings, especially through his sonnets about love and longing. My insight is that Petrarch’s works remind us that even though he lived centuries ago, human emotions like love, sadness, and hope are still the same today. His writings connect the past to the present, and they inspire me to see literature as something that reflects real human life and feelings.
