The protagonist versus the antagonist

Asked by Ritchellinda

Answer (1)

The protagonist is the main character in a story, the one we usually follow and root for. This character often faces challenges or conflicts that drive the plot forward. On the other hand, the antagonist is the one who opposes the protagonist. They create obstacles or problems that the main character has to overcome. The antagonist doesn’t always have to be a “villain,” but they stand in the way of the protagonist’s goals. In simple terms, the protagonist is the hero of the story, while the antagonist is the force that challenges or tests that hero[tex].[/tex]
