It’s not just about catching a suspect—it involves gathering facts, studying evidence, and piecing together clues so the truth comes out in a fair and legal way.The objectives of criminal investigation are usually:To find the truth – understand what really happened, not just assumptions.To identify the offender – who committed the crime.To gather evidence – like witness statements, physical evidence, or documents that can be used in court.To provide justice – helping the victims get justice and making sure the right person is held accountable.To prevent future crimes – because when crimes are solved properly, it discourages others from doing the same.In short, criminal investigation is like solving a puzzle: you collect all the small pieces (evidence, testimonies, observations) until you see the whole picture of the crime[tex].[/tex]
