My advocacy to help promote awareness to the young generations that our history is relevant up until now is to create a campaign called “Kasaysayan ay Buhay”. This campaign will focus on showing that history is not only about the past but also about the lessons we need today. We can use social media platforms, short films, and infographics to explain how events such as the People Power Revolution relate to present-day issues like unity and democracy. Schools can organize interactive history fairs, where students will role-play historical figures and explain their contributions. Another activity is creating digital timelines where students connect historical events to current situations like the importance of freedom of speech or the fight against corruption. By making history more relatable and visual, the youth will realize that history continues to guide our decisions and our identity as Filipinos.
