If I were Ana’s classmate, I would explain it like this,“When heat is applied to water, the water molecules start moving faster because they gain energy. As the temperature rises, the molecules move more freely and spread apart. If enough heat is added, the water changes from liquid to gas, forming steam. So basically, heating makes the molecules vibrate, move faster, and eventually escape into the air.”
