What is handpicking?

Handpicking is a simple way to separate unwanted substances from a mixture. You use your hands to remove the things you don't want, like stones, dirt, or spoiled food. This method doesn't need any tools or machines. You use handpicking when the unwanted parts are easy to see and easy to hold. The useful and useless materials must look different enough. It also works best when the amount is small. If there’s too much to sort or the pieces look alike, this method won’t help much.Examples:You might pick small stones out of a bowl of rice. You might remove rotten fruits from a basket of fresh ones. Farmers sometimes use handpicking to clean grains or vegetables.
