1.what is a suspension

A suspension is a type of mixture where solid particles are spread throughout a liquid or gas, but they don’t dissolve. Instead, the particles are big enough to be seen, and if you let the mixture sit still, the particles will settle at the bottom over time.Suspensions are different from solutions. In a solution (like saltwater), the particles are completely dissolved and won’t settle. In a suspension, the solid just floats for a while, then sinks.Examples of Suspensions:Muddy water – dirt stays suspended for a while, then sinks.Chalk in water – the chalk powder floats, then settles.Sand in water – you can stir it, but the sand always sinks.Orange juice with pulp – the pulp floats, but settles over time.Flour in water – looks milky at first, then the flour settles.
