RA ( rheumatoid arthritis )  is a chronic autoimmune disease that primarily affects joints. It generally will result in inflammation of the synovial membrane, termed "synovitis," and thereafter damage cartilage and bone. This would usually end up causing pain and stiffness, leading to joint deformities. Pathophysiology of RA has to be understood concerning genetic predisposition, environment, and immune dysfunction factors involving T cells.Note: T cells are types of white blood cells.RA ( rheumatoid arthritis )Hope this helps.
