Based on the actions, facial expressions, gestures, distance, and other nonverbal cues of the characters in the situation, construct what they might be thinking or saying within the provided dialogues. Write a meaningful statement that shows your understanding of their emotions, intentions, and behavior. Then, write a brief analysis (2-3 sentences) of how you relate the character's feelings or reactions to your own way of engaging in personal or interpersonal communication. Make sure it shows your understanding of the habits or behaviors that contribute to effective communication.

Meaningful Statement (based on characters’ cues):As Maria looks down and avoids eye contact while nervously fidgeting with her fingers, she might be thinking, “I want to speak up, but I’m afraid they won’t understand me.” Meanwhile, Carlo leans forward and smiles gently, showing he’s open and willing to listen, possibly thinking, “I hope she knows I’m here to support her.”Brief Analysis:I can relate to Maria’s hesitation because I also get nervous when sharing personal thoughts. But like Carlo, I try to show others I care through eye contact, nodding, and listening patiently. I’ve learned that nonverbal cues like posture and facial expressions can build trust and help make communication more effective and sincere.
