In our barangay, I noticed some environmental issues that need attention. One problem is the scattered garbage on the streets and canals, especially after rainy days. I also see some people burning trash, which causes smoke and air pollution. Another concern is the clogged drainage that leads to flooding during strong rains. There are also areas where trees were cut down and not replaced, making the place hotter.With the help of my parents, I found out that our community is trying to solve these problems in different ways. The barangay holds clean-up drives where people are encouraged to clean their surroundings together. They also have rules about proper garbage disposal and discourage burning of trash. Some streets have signs reminding everyone to keep the area clean. There are also tree-planting activities held during special events. These actions show that our community is working together to protect and improve the environment.
