Spanning across several Asian nations including India, Nepal, China, Pakistan, Bhutan, and Afghanistan, the Himalayas form a massive mountain range. This imposing range separates the Tibetan Plateau to the north from the Indian subcontinent's plains to the south, and is home to the world's tallest peaks, such as Mount Everest. A significant portion of the range lies within India (Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, and Arunachal Pradesh) and Nepal, which boasts many of the highest peaks.
