Suspension is a heterogenous mixture where small solid particles are spread out in a liquid or gas, but they don’t dissolve. The particles are large enough to be seen and they will settle at the bottom if the mixture is left still for a while. Suspensions need to be shaken or stirred before use. You can usually separate them by filtering if needed.
