I think it's self-regulation. When you notice you're overwhelmed, calm yourself down and shift into a better mindset. It means being aware of your emotions and managing them. You also choose how to respond. Like when the student feels overwhelmed before a test, they calm down and decide to think positively so they can focus and do better
