A personal experience that reflects growing in awareness of my dignity as a human person happened during a volunteer project at a local shelter. Initially, I saw myself mainly as someone helping others, but as I interacted with the people there, I realized that each person, including myself, has inherent worth and deserves respect regardless of their situation. This deepened my understanding that dignity is not about status or achievements but about recognizing the value in every human being, including myself. This awareness has since influenced how I treat others and how I value my own voice and choices.
