The Age of Literacy began when humans learned how to read and write. This made people rely more on their sense of sight and less on hearing or touch. Instead of using songs and rituals to express emotions, they started using written words to communicate more clearly and privately. This new way of communication allowed people to think more logically and organize ideas, even when they were alone or far from their community. It also helped develop subjects like math and science.Later, in the 15th century, the Print Age started with the invention of the Gutenberg printing press. This made it easier to make and share books. Because of this, more people gained access to knowledge, and it gave power to the educated and middle classes.
