A colloid mixture is a type of mixture where small particles are spread out evenly but they don’t settle at the bottom, and you can’t see them clearly with your eyes. The particles are bigger than in a solution but smaller than in a suspension. Colloids can be liquids, solids, or gases, and they often look cloudy or foggy. They’re special because of the Tyndall effect, where light scatters when it passes through the mixture.
