Reporting on Practical Research: Case Study and Ethnographic ResearchGood day everyone. Today, I will report on two types of qualitative research: Case Study and Ethnographic Research.1. Case StudyA case study focuses on one subject — like a person, group, or event — to understand it deeply. It gathers detailed information using interviews, observations, and documents.Example: Studying the experience of a student with online learning during the pandemic.2. Ethnographic ResearchEthnography is about understanding the culture or way of life of a group by immersing yourself in their environment. The researcher becomes part of the group for a period of time to observe naturally.Example: Living in a remote community to study their traditions and beliefs.DifferenceCase study = focus on a single subject.Ethnography = focus on a culture or group’s lifestyle.
