Answer:the materials used in traditional art is a lot. Starting with a piece of paper or your canvas. Depends whether you paint or sketch, because arts is WIDE, representing creativity. So if you like painting, in traditional arts you would use a paint brush, paint, with different types of paint like acrylic or watercolor. As for sketching in traditional art, you would use a mechanical pencil or just a pencil, or an hb pencil with different shades and your eraser. But when it comes to modern art, in my opinion modern artists didn't put much effort into their artwork. As i searched modern art, google only shows a banana taped into the canvas. The art work feels souless, meaningless and confusing. Moder art feels like receiving "free money". It depends on what materials the artist would use for their modern art, like the banana taped into the canvas which was unexpected. No artist would used a banana for their art right? so i would say in my perspective it depends
