There was a time in school when one of my classmates kept teasing another student because of his appearance. At first, everyone thought it was just a joke, but it became more frequent and hurtful. I felt uncomfortable seeing it happen every day.Instead of ignoring it, I decided to speak to the classmate privately and told him that what he was doing was no longer funny and was actually hurting someone. I also informed our class adviser about it. After that, our teacher talked to the whole class about bullying and respect. The teasing stopped, and the student felt safer and more accepted. From this experience, I learned that speaking up — even when it’s hard — can help others. Respect and kindness should always come first, especially in school where everyone deserves to feel safe.
