Taping a connected wire is important to avoid electrical shock and short circuits. Turn off the power – Make sure the appliance or source is unplugged.Twist the wires securely – If connecting two wires, twist them together tightly using pliers if needed.Use electrical tape only – Never use scotch tape or masking tape, which can burn or melt.Wrap tightly – Start wrapping from the insulated part going to the exposed wire. Overlap the tape so no metal is visible.Secure both ends – Press the tape so it sticks firmly. It’s better to do 2-3 layers for safety.
