What is the solar system? The solar system composes of 8 planets—Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune. It also includes one dwarf planet named Pluto, but is often overlooked. Between the orbit of Mars and Jupiter lies what is called the Asteroid Belt, it is a line of many small debrie. The 8 planets (and one dwarf planet) revolves around the Sun, which is roughly the size of over 1600 Earths combined. Due to this, Mercury—the closest planet to the sun—has a scorching hot surface temperature. The hottest planet of the Solar System is Venus, it is not because it is the second closest to the sun—but because of it's thick atmosphere and a rocky surface filled with volcanoes.Earth, by far is the only liveable planet among the Solar System—it hosts us humans and multiple other animals. It remains in the Habitable Zone in the Solar System, which is just the right orbit far enough from the sun to not get burnt but also close enough to not get too cold.Mars is the last terrestrial planet on the list, it hosts a rich brown-red colored surface and it has been theorized that humans are able to breathe in its surface—however, due to the oxygen concentration being low—it does not take long for a human to suffocate due to the lack of oxygen.Next to Mars is the asteroid belt, as mentioned earlier—it is a large line of space debri and other space junks.Next up is Jupiter, also called the largest planet of the Solar System. It is the first gas planet on our list, but there are more to come. One of Jupiter's most famous and interesting parts is what is also known as the 'Red Eye'. It is a large storm that has been ongoing for multiple centuries and is large enough to fit three Earths—however, it had shrinked down to only one and a half Earth.Saturn is the next gas planet, the most remarkable parts of Saturn is it's large rings—it is also the second largest planet on the Solar System. Saturn's rings are made up of multiple debri similar to the Asteroid Belt.Uranus is by far the strangest planet, it was said to smell like rotten eggs—and since it is the second last planet on the solar system, it has a freezing temperature enough to turn anyone into ice in just a few seconds. Neptune is the last, and furthest planet from the solar system—for now, not much is known about it. Other than the fact that is it also freezing cold like neptune, most people tend to forget about the fact that Neptune is also very large compared to Earth, as is it also a gas planet.Note:Pls brainliest!
