1.T - When you exhale, your diaphragm muscle moves up and the ribs move inward. 2.T- During inhalation, your ribs also move outward increasing the size of the chest cavity. 3.F- When you breathe in, or inhale, your diaphragm contracts and moves downward, and your ribs move outward. 4.T- The lungs and respiratory system allow oxygen in the air to be taken into the body while also letting the body get rid of carbon dioxide in the air breathed out. 5.F- Upon exhalation, the diaphragm relaxes and returns to its domelike shape, and air is forced out of the lungs.
