Gender-based basic education is a step toward building equality in our classrooms. As a student, I realize that this approach does not only treat boys and girls equally; it also recognizes the unique struggles of each gender. For example, some girls are discouraged from joining sports, while some boys are told to hide their emotions. This is unfair.By making education gender-responsive, all students can feel safe and confident to express themselves. Teachers also become more aware of how to use inclusive language and set equal expectations for everyone. I believe that this kind of education helps reduce bullying, increases respect, and makes learning better for all. We still have a long way to go, but gender-based education is a powerful start.
