However, the biggest difference is that the plate tectonics is more complete and supported by seafloor spreading and subduction evidence.The Continental Drift by Wegener states continents move across Earth’s surface. No mechanism was proposed. The Plate Tectonics theory explains that Earth’s crust is divided into plates that move over the mantle.
