Through our autopsy analysis activity in IT304/IT304L, I realized how digital forensics plays a vital role in ensuring cybersecurity and justice. Using Autopsy, an open-source tool, helped me understand the process of retrieving deleted files, analyzing metadata, and tracking user activity.I learned that even if a file is deleted, it doesn’t mean it's completely gone—this is useful for investigations involving data breaches or illegal activities. It also reminded me to be responsible with digital footprints and to always practice confidentiality, integrity, and accountability in handling data. This exercise taught me not just technical skills, but ethical responsibility as a future IT professional.
