how many days does the earth actually complete a revolution

The Earth takes about 365.25 days to complete one full revolution around the Sun. This is called a sidereal year. The extra 0.25 day each year adds up to one full day every four years, which is why we have a leap year every fourth year. So in most years, we count 365 days, but the actual revolution takes.
