The Kingdom of God is a literal government in heaven where God reigns. It is a common misconception among Christians that it is a spiritual rule in people's heart but the Bible has recorded that Jesus Christ has taught us to pray for the rule of God's Kingdom on Earth (as it is in Heaven).God's Kingdom is not visible and nor does it have human rulers or politicians running it. As I have mentioned, Jesus says that it is ruling the Heavens now but not the Earth. Because according to the Bible, the Earth and mankind is being run by the evil one (Satan). This is why there is so much suffering.We pray for God's Kingdom to come so that it can end Satan's rule on Earth and finally complete God's promise of making everything new. With the help of His son- Jesus Christ- death, sickness, suffering, and evil will forever be removed from the universe.
