Genootskap van Regte Afrikaners (GRA) is a group of nationally conscious men established in 1875, which eventually published the first newspaper, the first magazine, and the first literary texts in Afrikaans. The group was founded in Paarl, South Africa, in 1875 to promote the Afrikaans language. They published "Die Afrikaanse Patriot," the first Afrikaans newspaper, and other important works in Afrikaans literature.
