One of the main carnivores that catch and eat sloths is the jaguar. Jaguars are powerful predators found in the same rainforest habitats as sloths. They are skilled hunters and can climb trees to catch slow-moving sloths. Because sloths move very slowly and spend most of their time hanging in trees, jaguars take advantage of this by ambushing them, making sloths an easy prey despite their camouflage.
