What happens to the ice and wax when heated

Asked by mrbabybear5420

Answer (1)

When heated, ice melts and turns into water because the heat energy breaks the bonds holding the water molecules in a solid structure.Wax, when heated, first softens and then melts into a liquid because the heat overcomes the forces holding its molecules in a solid form.In both cases, heating causes a phase change from solid to liquid.
