In volleyball, a point is scored when a team grounds the ball on the opponent's side of the court, or when the opposing team commits an error or fault. The team that successfully hits the ball into the opponent's court and prevents it from being returned scores a point. Scoring Rules:Grounding the Ball:A point is scored when a team successfully hits the ball over the net and it lands within the opponent's court boundaries. Opponent Errors/Fouls:Points are also awarded to the team if the opposing team commits a fault, such as:Hitting the ball out of bounds Failing to return the ball over the net Contacting the ball more than three times before returning it Touching the net while the ball is in play Rally Point System:A point is scored on every rally, meaning each time the ball is successfully returned over the net, the receiving team scores a point and gains the right to serve. Additional Notes:Rotation:Teams rotate clockwise on the court, and the rotation order must be maintained. Faults:A fault by the serving team results in a point for the opposing team. Service:After winning a rally, the team that wins the serve rotates clockwise and begins serving. Winning a Set:A set is won when a team reaches 25 points with a two-point lead, except for the final set which is played to 15 points with a two-point lead.
