Advancements in technology have been prevalent in these modern times. Innovations in devices and tech such as computers have been made to make our lives easier. But does this mean that the computer is smarter than the human? To answer this, I believe that the human brain is still smarter. Even though computers can do mathematical equations and other quantitative tasks faster, there is something that humans are better at. One of them is the capability to adapt and provide solutions to new problems. Whenever a new obstacle arises, humans can use their critical and quick thinking to provide the best solutions. When a computer runs into a new problem, they need more input or data similar to it. Without those, how would it fix the problem? Also, who provides these data? Humans. Another thing that humans possess more is creativity. Let us take artwork made by artificial intelligence or computers as an example. They only make art from a prompt based on numerous images. They cannot think outside the box. They only get what is already available, and they make some sort of “mosaic” of them to produce an art, or an image rather. But for humans, their creativity can go outside the box and produce their very own original piece with their heart and soul poured into it. Also, who provides the images the computer or AI gets? Humans. For the last point, who made these computers in the first place? Humans. Without humans, there will be no computers. The human’s brain, with great intelligence, has made a way on making their lives easier and tasks more convenient. Computers may seem very intelligent, but let’s not forget the humans who made this technology possible. Without the intellect of humankind, what would there be to our lives?
