does being a good parent mean providing fo the basic needs of a child? why?

yeah! because we are good parents they can give us what we want even if it's hard to beat them
It is the job for the parents to be atleast able to provide the most basic if not the most complex nessecities to a child. It is a responsibility to be obligated to the life the parents have created, they must value, cherish and sustain what they made. Therefore, if you are able to at least consistently tend to the needs of the child and give the necessary things that the child needs, you can be at the very least to be called a 'responsible' parent.
