"I hear you, but I'm not listening". Ask your mother, father, sister, brother or your friend if they haveExperienced a situation where they are talking to someone who seemed to be listening to them but when theyask if they understood what they are saying it turns out that they are not listening. How did they feel about it?this a good or bad thing to do? Why?

Answer:Mother/Mom:"Yes, I've experienced that before. I was talking to a friend about a personal issue, and while they nodded and made eye contact, I later realized they hadn’t really absorbed what I was saying. When I asked for their thoughts on what I shared, it was clear they hadn’t been paying attention. I felt frustrated and a bit hurt because I felt like my feelings and concerns weren’t valued. It’s definitely a bad thing to do because it undermines trust and communication. Being genuinely attentive shows respect and helps build stronger, more supportive relationships."
