COMPLEX SENTENCES
There are various ways to construct complex sentences, but
basically any complex sentence will contain at least one independent and
one dependent clause. However, these clauses are not joined by
coordinating conjunctions. Instead, subordinating conjunctions are used.
Examples of subordinating conjunctions:
after, although, as, as long as, because, before,
even if, if, in order to, in case, once, now that, so that,
that, though, unless, until, when, whenever, wherever,
while
